Further investigations from the Royal Guard have revealed shocking new details of the conspiracy to take the life of a prominent family head.  We speculate that foreigners or anarcho-liberals were behind the plan, and had already gathered all of the materials necessary to plant a bomb within the aristocrat's mansion.  Official Imperial delegation warns citizens to keep a close eye on those who speak ill of The Emperor(even in a joking manner), and report all foreigners that fail to show identification certificates when requested.  Remember that your lack of contribution could be found as co-conspiracy in the eyes of the Royal Courts.

Riots in Midland were quelled once again by the invincible forces of The Royal Army.  An estimated twenty six looters were confirmed killed within an hour of this publication, and damages to infrastructure were deemed to be in the thousands.

"The rabble rousing of traitors and extremists endangers each and every citizen."  Said a Royal Army officer.  "Think of all the people that could have been saved if only Midlanders would shake of the shackles of independence and join us under The Acandiam Empire."  When asked to comment on the the rioters' perspective, the officer grunted and explained that "Midland was a right given to us by The Emperor, and our quick and repeated victories show that God favors us, the strong."

This resistance is clearly futile, and it will only be a matter of time before the people of Midland accept our civilization - or we grow impatient of their agitations.

A new railroad was opened today, and many citizens cheered as the Auto-Carriages rolled into the border town of El-Talina.  Steam bellowed and dissipated into the sky as the contraption zoomed past the station to its destination.

"I'll be able to see my family in no time at all now, these new inventions make our whole world so much smaller!" said one woman, who was getting ready for the next auto-carriage to the capitol.

Clearly, our technological progress is the envy of all nations; so we should be quick to protect Acandiam technology from the dirty hands of foreigners.
